Where Aussie lawns meet GOAT‑level care 🐐
At Mighty Goat Lawns, we are a family owned business run by two brothers who believe every Aussie backyard deserves to look legendary. Born right here in Australia in 2019, Mighty Goat Lawns (formally Billy Goat Lawns) started out as a passion project aimed at improving our own lawns.
We purchased an aerator in 2019 as the hire machines we could get at the time were often run down and not as effective as we would like. We had now spent a good chunk of change on a machine we used a couple of times a year and the wives weren’t particularly impressed. We thought it was a great idea.
To alleviate some of their concerns we figured we would hire the machine out… it turns out there was quite a few enthusiasts out there keen to have a go. We did this for a few months before we explored actually aerating lawns for customers. We bought a potent 2006 1.6L VW Caddy to carry the aerator around and for the next couple of years we hired machines and aerated lawns on weekends while still working full time.
We saved all our pennies, only drank tap water, ate 2 minute noodles exclusively and in 2021 we purchased a warehouse to store our gear.
This presented another opportunity… we now had plenty of space to stock products and we aren’t the sort of blokes to let a good opportunity go to waste, so on the 1st of July 2021 the Mighty Goat Lawns retail store was born.
Initially carrying a limited range of products supplying lawn care enthusiasts including granular + liquid fertiliser, wetting agents, soil amendments and one or two herbicides. Over the years the range has increased significantly to include a wide variety of products and equipment from leading brands to help home owners and contractors alike optimise their lawn care.
From 2021 to today we have expanded our reach to supply customers in every state and territory of Australia. As Mighty Goat Lawns evolves we continue to focus on the fundamentals which helped us from day one. Ensuring we provide the best advice, range of products and continuing to provide the personalised service we are known for.

2019-2020
First Aerator
Australia day 2020, first aerator with Charlie the chocolate labrador.

The Mighty 1.6 VW Caddy
Our first vehicle for aerating, phenomenal. What more can we say. Never missed a beat and served us well for 3 years.

Aerating every weekend
Many weekends were spent aerating in 2020 - 2021, the aerators were getting a good workout.

Potent VW Transporter
We needed a larger vehicle to carry larger aerators, the 2012 VW Transporter was perfect. Fun fact, a Toro stand on aerator fits in the back with a clearance of 6mm with tyres inflated to 24psi.

Added a ping pong table
Winter was cold in the warehouse, to stay warm we got a ping pong table rather than a heater.

More Products
Since 2024 we have added a lot more brands and product lines to our range and refined processes to ensure that our customers have access to the latest and greatest products in the lawn and turf care industry. We also went on the radio, pretty chuffed about that one 😁
